Karges Fine Art gallery in Carmel has been internationally known as one of the premier fine art galleries specializing in historically important, museum quality Early California paintings executed between 1870 and 1950. California Impressionist, post-impressionist, tonalist, and modernist works by artists such as Armin Hansen, William Wendt, Edgar Payne, Selden Gile, Millard Sheets, Birger Sandzen and Granville Redmond can be found in the gallery's holdings. We also handle fine American paintings by artists such as Robert Vonnoh and Childe Hassam, the color woodcuts of Gustave Baumann, and original oil paintings by important Taos, New Mexico artists including Oscar Berninghaus, Leon Gaspard, Nicolai Fechin, Joseph Henry Sharp and E. Martin Hennings. Karges Fine Art also specializes in early Philippine paintings by Fernando Amorsolo, Fernando Zobel, Anita Magsaysay-ho, and many other Filipino artists.

Additionally, Karges Fine Art offers paintings by several award-winning contemporary painters, including the plein-air landscapes and seascapes of Dennis Doheny and Cindy Baron.
